In the old days a summons to the headmaster's office often had a predictable outcome.   It wouldn't be long before you knew if your fate was sealed.  The command to remove your blazer and bend over the chair was the confirmation.  Then, while your bottom was sticking out over the back of the chair, the headmaster would carefully select the cane he was going to use to beat you. What followed was a few minutes of agony as the headmaster carefully whipped his cane across your waiting bottom. Certainly no boy ever enjoyed that white hot sting!  It didn't take long!  And once it was over, the headmaster made an official entry in the punishment record noting that you had been given 6 strokes with the cane across your bottom.

Depending on your point of view, you either love or hate the cane. If you are a naughty boy, chances are you hate and fear the cane.  If you are a disciplinarian, then you probably appreciate the cane's effectiveness.  And that's how it should be!  Faced with a misbehaving boy, nothing is more effective than a few strokes of the cane across his bottom.  It hurts and it wil make him truly regret his misbehavior. To receive the cane, boys are usually told to "bend over!"  The bent over position.  This is very humiliating for boys as they actively assist in their own punishment by presenting their bottoms in a way that assists the disciplinarian and makes their bottoms perfect targets. A great advantage for the disciplinarian is that caning a boy is very time efficient.  Because of the cane's effectiveness, 6-12 strokes should be plenty to teach a good lesson.   It doesn't take very long to give 6 strokes, but the boy will suffer the effects

I would like to examine some of the popular spanking positions.  The purpose behind positioning a boy for a spanking is to make it as easy as possible for the "dad" to beat the boy's bottom.  All popular spanking positions make the boy's bottom very accessible and generally the position selected will depend on the type of spanking to be given.  All spanking positions place the dad in the advantageous position and the boy in a vunerable position. I will start with the "bend tight" position.  In this position the boy grabs his ankles and keeps his legs as straight as possible.  This brings his bottom high and his head low - a perfect position for a spanking. Why Dads like it.   Dad's like this position because it is perfect for wielding larger spanking implements such as paddles and canes.  The dad can stand far enough back so that aim is improved.
